This story is awesome! Imagine being arrested for taking pictures of a demonstration in a foreign country. Then simply sending a text to twitter to alert your friends, who in-turn alert your school and the US Embassy. Bam! Your out of jail. Check the full story from the folks over at TechCrunch.

So all through college you hear all this stuff about how your resume can’t be more then one page, it’ll get tossed, etc. Well here is a response I got from my new professional headhunter on that issue…
TO HH: “In college we were taught that it was the cardinal sin to have a resume longer then one page. Would you agree with that? Or, if I have relevant information is it ok?”
RESPONSE: “I don’t agree with that at all. I bet less then 10% of the resumes we see are one page these days, and of that most of them are college graduates. It’s a shame that school’s still teach that.”
Several people have asked me where the name of the blog came from… It’s a simple story actually. Sometime in the Fall of ‘06 several friends and I planned an evening out at a local bar. I called to reserve a table because we knew we would be arriving late. Whoever took the reservation heard “Eder” and not “Eber.” My friend Carrie, loved this and has called me “Eder” ever since. The actually phrase “Eder Way” comes also from Carrie. Sitting in a long meeting at her consulting firm a someone kept saying “either way.” Well needless to say, the name stuck.
Everyone by now has heard the news and seen the tragic pictures from Virginia Tech. I am not really in the right state of mind to write about this right now. I’ll write more on it later. Please pray or keep in your thoughts those whose lives have been shattered today.
Numerous groups have appeared on the internet today to show support for those who have been killed along with there family and friend…
See this Facebook group to see our generation sharing their condolences, thoughts and prayers…
During high school and the first part of college I wrote almost every day. I guess you could call it a journal or even a diary. More or less they were a random collection of thoughts somehow organized on the screen from the depths of my ADD mind. The most rewarding thing that came from these thoughts was a since of accomplishment from life. Those day to day journeys that life throws you added up in writing, the learned experiences begin to add up in someway.
I think thats been something missing from my life over the past few years, and thats what I hope this blog will do for me. I have resisted venturing into the world of blogging because that same index of journeys can be turned against you. Just look at the political world, where Hillary Clinton is attacked for something she wrote 30 years ago. (I’m not voting for Hillary by the way) Yet the point remains the same, everything written is retained for future criticism.
These writings will be general and mainly reflective, this certainly will not be a pulpit from which to preach my opinions.
