As promised here are a few shots of the roof arriving at the new house. The most amazing part of this is how they got all the trusses off the back of the truck. There was no lift, or crane… The truck driver simply drove forward then slammed on the breaks sending a ton of truss work flying of the back of the truck and onto the ground where it would sit until the crane arrived.

Here is a shot of the crane (which arrived 7 hours late by the way) lifting the first of the many trusses up above the house.
Truss going up at the new house

On another housing note, Chris (my roommate) entered into a contract to buy a new house and he has graciously offered to keep me around as a roommate. So I’m glad to say that we will soon be new residents of the Florence Park neighborhood here in good old Tulsa! Though I’m sad to be moving out of downtown, I’m excited to move back into an actual house.
